Last Saturday,Tandem (Trinity’s single parents ministry) hosted a parenting day which was attended by almost 40 single parent families from the local community.

Throughout the day, three speakers gave a series of short talks on a range of topics including setting boundaries for children, dealing with teenagers and managing the stress points of the day. They spoke from their own experiences and were both encouraging and inspiring.

While their parents were gathering tips and ideas, the children were able to enjoy crafts and games in the morning and watch an entertainer in the afternoon. A dedicated kitchen team ensured that everyone enjoyed a fantastic family lunch.

Many parents who were there commented that the day had been both useful and enjoyable. For Tandem it was a privilege to have the opportunity to be able to encourage and equip mums and dads for the challenges of parenting alone.
