The New Wine Discipleship Year is a unique and exciting opportunity for young adults to
move forward in their faith in Jesus and to learn how to live their life for God in the world.
The course combines relevant biblical teaching with practical internships in local
churches in and around Cheltenham. In doing the Discipleship Year you will be equipped
biblically, encouraged to grow in your gifts and passions, and empowered to follow God’s
call for your life. The Discipleship Year is an exciting and challenging year serving God!
The Discipleship Year will provide creative environments (classroom and practical church
internships) where you will grow as a disciple of Jesus through:
• Deepening your knowledge and experience of God.
• Experiencing what it means to serve in a local church.
• Exercising and nurturing spiritual gifts and passions.
• Developing your leadership skills.
• Exploring the calling and purpose God has for your life
Applications are open for 2012/13 interns, from Monday 28th May 2012.
What will it involve?
You will receive 8x hrs/wk of training, teaching and coaching input based at the New Wine training centre at Trinity Cheltenham.
You will also have opportunities to develop your gifts, skills and grow in leadership by committing to serve on an internship, within a specific ministry area while on placement either at Trinity or another local church. You will commit to 12x hrs/wk on a ministry based internship.

• Introduction to the Bible (DY102)
• Introduction to the Kingdom (DY103)
• Hearing the Voice of God (DY104)
• Advanced Bible (DY201)
• Kingdom Lifestyle (DY202)
• Advancing the Kingdom (DY203)
• Leadership and Character Development (DY204)
Speakers on the New Wine Discipleship Year will include a variety of New Wine church leaders who are highly experienced in their field of ministry.

All teaching will take place on a Tuesday and Thursday morning. Your 12hr internship will be arranged at times that fit with your particular ministry area.

Internships are offered in the following areas of church ministry:
Youth work, student ministry, kids work, family outreach, ministry to the poor, street teams, worship, media.

What will it cost:
The cost of the year is £980 payable at the beginning of the course by 18th Sept 2012. The course fee includes 1x Residential Weekend away and attendance at the New Wine Retreat to Advance conference (11th to 13th Jan 2013).
Accommodation
Interns on the Discipleship Year find their own accommodation locally in Cheltenham or in the vicinity of their internship church. Some internship churches may offer accommodation in family homes. Students are encouraged to take casual employment to cover their living expenses.
