What is money matters?
Money Matters provides free, practical, independent and confidential advice to help people who are experiencing personal financial difficulties, in debt or who need help to control and look after their money.
Financial Difficulties
Individuals and families who struggle with financial issues find it hard to ask for help. There are feelings of embarrassment at not being able to manage their finances. Financial pressures put relationships under a lot of pressure. It’s hard to talk to those we love when we feel inadequate about money. Maybe you can’t face talking to family or friends, but want to talk to someone.
Whatever your financial difficulties, if they are of concern to you, then we want to help.
How can we help?
The process can vary as each individuals needs are different. All actions will be discussed to suit your individual needs. The following is an outline:
1. An initial meeting is offered at Trinity Cheltenham
2. We will go through your current financial circumstances in detail and make any immediate suggestions
3. We will then take the information away and prepare a financial statement and to look at course of action
4. A follow up meeting will be arranged to go through the Financial Statement and suggestions in detail (Actions can include: applying for benefits, negotiating with creditors)
5. Further meetings can then be arranged
