KIDZ CHURCH
Kidz Church is packed full of worship and story, laughter and learning, games and action, and prayer and play - all aimed at giving children a tool-kit for life and a confidence in their faith in Jesus the King. Whichever group your child belongs to, we know they will have a welcome to surprise them, and a tale to tell on the way home. Our team is committed to teaching and applying the Bible, encouraging and nurturing children in the way Jesus has set out for them, and seeing our children grow up inspired and filled with the Holy Spirit, ready to fulfil their life’s potential.
Pre-School
Our youngest children have a range of groups suitable for their age and stage of life.From the earliest age we want to encourage children to praise God in song, to learn the stories of the Bible and to begin to understand the difference Jesus makes to their lives today.
Sparkles (0-12 months)
Starlights (1-2 yrs)
Firecrackers (2-3 yrs)
Rockets (3-4 yrs)
Reception - Year 3
From the JAM and into the SAS we seek adventure, challenge and fun as our young warriors become (as it says in the Bible), ‘hearers and doers of the word’, as they apply God’s teaching to their young lives. Along with games, teaching and craft, we see the children growing in worship and prayer, learning how to share with each other the story of Jesus in their lives and in the world.
The JAM (4-6 yrs/reception and year 1)
SAS (6-8 yrs/year 2-3)
School Years 4-8
Sanctuary (8-11 yrs/years 4-6) Sanctuary brings together a wide age-range of kidz for celebration, Bible teaching and ministry as well as all the regular fun, games, action and chocolate that you can imagine. Small groups play a part in Sanctuary where the children can share, listen and pray with their friends about what they are learning and how they are applying the Bible to their lives.
Junction 12 (12-13 yrs/years 7-8) Junction 12 aims to help them grow in maturity in their walk with God as they approach their teenage years. Group discussions, bad jokes, testimony, belly laughs and prayer all feature, both during the time we are gathered together and in break-out groups.For Kidz church, please contact one of our kidz church pastors: Sue Mclean, Jo Leighton or Helen Brunt, or the kidz chucrh administrator, Janine Berwick.
For the remainder of this term we are looking at the book of Judges. This book of the bible contains the narrative that covers the period from the death of Joshua to the books of Samuel and the annointing of the first king of Israel.
