Growing in community:
Are you wanting to grow your character and foundations to look more like Jesus and more like who God created you to be? Come and join us for a year full of opportunities to be equipped! There are two tracks available for 18-29 year olds, and also the space for others in the Trinity Church family to join in with parts of the teaching.
For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
Full Time for 18-29 year olds
This will be for those who want to jump head first into living in community, investing in the Trinity and St Paul’s church families and their relationship with God. With the basis of the year centred around living together in a community house, the programme is carefully crafted to include teaching (centred around growing your character and faith), weekends away, mentoring, serving in an area of ministry that you are passionate about (for 20 hours a week), as well as serving in the local community. There is also the opportunity for a mission trip overseas.
Author Pete Scazzero describes ‘Rule of Life’ as: “an intentional, conscious plan to keep God at the centre of everything we do. . . . The starting point and foundation of any rule is a desire to be with God and to love him.” Developing a healthy ‘Rule of Life’ is an important part of the year, and in September, the house will create its own together.
Part Time for 18-29 year olds
This will be for those who are wanting to grow their faith and relationship with God, but need to combine the programme with other commitments. Grounded in helping you develop a healthy rule of life, the programme is designed to fit alongside Monday to Saturday living. The programme includes blended learning (recorded and in person teaching) which is centred around growing your character and faith, weekends away, mentoring, as well as supporting you in serving in an area that you are passionate about. There is also the opportunity for a mission trip overseas.
This is available for anyone in the region, not just those who are at Trinity and St Pauls. We would love to partner well with your church family, so please do let them know that you are considering applying for the community.
"JOIN IN" Track
For all ages
This will be an opportunity for anyone from the Trinity and St Paul’s family, of any age, to come and join in with some of the teaching sessions alongside the FORM. community. More information will be released closer to the start of term.
Teaching days are on a Tuesday, and teaching terms are 10 weeks long (with no half term). The morning sessions will be recorded and made available online for a selected number of weeks to enable those on the Integrated track to receive the same teaching and to discuss in the online forum.
Tuesday evenings begin with a meal, with time to pray and worship together before the teaching session. In addition to term time teaching, there are 3 weekends away.
There are three books and short practical assignments through the year, with time made available in the Immersive students’ timetables to study.
Click below for the teaching sessions that will take place over the year, including some sessions in the final term that will be led by the community.
The ‘Integrated’ track has no minimum number of hours to serve, but it is expected that this will be on a regular basis.
As part of the ‘Immersive’ track, we have a number of opportunities for you to serve as part of a ministry you are passionate about for 20 hours of your week throughout your year with us (there will be some holiday available for you to use throughout the year outside of term time).
Click on each of the tabs below to find out more!
There are other placement options that we are currently working to make available as we get closer to September, so we’d love you to get in touch with us if there’s something on your heart, even if it’s not listed above!
