When beauty speaks of His presence

Help us restore our stained glass windows, preserving our heritage for future generations, right in the heart of Cheltenham

A Light-Filled Legacy:

In the centre of our city, Trinity church has long been a place where people encounter God—through worship, community, and quiet moments of peace.

And all around us, the light has danced through vibrant Victorian floral art-deco pattern stained glass windows, casting colour across our space and inviting us to look up, breathe deep, and remember the beauty of creation.

These windows may not tell stories in words, but they speak—of renewal, life, and God’s beauty woven through the world.

Why We’re Restoring Them

Time, pollution, and weather have worn these windows down.
Leaded panels are weakening, glass is cracking, and layers of dirt have dulled their glow.

It’s time to bring them back to life.

We’re raising £250K to carefully restore these original windows—preserving their artistry, their colour, and their quiet spiritual presence for the generations to come.

Because care for Creation is at the center of everything we do, we want to go beyond like-for-like restoration. We know that restored windows will give us better thermal insulation, bringing us a step closer to our carbon netzero 2030 target and making the building fit for purpose.

More Than Decoration:

We believe beauty matters in worship.
God made the world with wildflowers, colour, and light—and our windows reflect that truth.

Restoring them isn’t just about fixing old glass.

It’s about creating a space where people experience peace, joy, and the presence of God through their senses as well as their spirit. Each window tells something about God’s character, where artistic beauty speaks of His presence.

Here’s How You Can Be Part of It:

  • Every donation helps us move closer to full restoration.

  • Tell a friend, post on socials, tell us if you know organisations who would want to support our campaign

  • While we’ll be appointing our main contractor shortly, you can join a core team of people passionate about bringing our windows to life, researching their history, conducting some art projects with local school around their designs, organising tours in the future to see the restoration work in action, etc

Trinity’s stained glass windows have been witnessed for over 150 years to all the expressions of life that a church displays. From their design and installation in 1870, they have been part of our spiritual stories as much as our fabric heritage and are a wholesome expression of His presence.
