Youth and Students Assistant Pastor
Location: Trinity Cheltenham
Job Type: Full time (37.5 hours weekly)
Salary: Β£27,607

Trinity is a large charismatic evangelical church based in the centre of Cheltenham with a mission purpose βto make committed followers of Jesus who change communities and nations for Himβ. We are looking for someone equally passionate about Jesus who will embrace our core values and seek to communicate and demonstrate the gospel with our Youth and Students. If you are excited about investing in young people and building relationships with them to help them grow and develop as followers of Jesus, then this could be the role for you!
Some Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Youth Pastor in leading the Youth Ministry and implementing ministry activities
Serving at various Youth events including Sundays and Youth ministry residentials
Building positive and supportive relationships with young people to help raise their confidence and grow as individuals following Jesus
Helping to train and develop volunteers in all aspects of their serving among young people
Building relationships with local schools and Youth work organisations
Play a key role in shaping the vision for, and leading an effective student ministry programme to help build up Christian students as disciples of Jesus
Ensuring effective welcome and hosting of students on Sundays and at other church events
Ensuring effective equipping and supporting of Trinity students in living out and sharing their faith
Contributing to the overall vision and strategic priorities of Trinity
Skills and Experience:
Committed, passionate, prayerful and worshipful lover of Jesus
A good overview of the Bible and ability to share scripture with others
A good understanding of the nature of the charismatic church and its mission to building Kingdom of God
Personal experience of sharing in Youth and Student ministry
Skills in equipping and developing others
Good organisational and team-building skills
Ability to recruit, lead and encourage teams of volunteers
Servant-hearted, disciplined and reliable, risk-taking and having good initiative
Excellent communication skills
