Wednesday 7th - Wednesday 28th January 2026

For I will pour out water to quench your thirst
and to irrigate your parched fields.
And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants,
and my blessing on your children.

Isaiah 44:3

"Hungry? Try fasting!"

From Wednesday 7th Jan to Wednesday 28th Jan we are encouraging the whole of Trinity to FAST and PRAY.

Many people are longing for a new move of God's power across the nation. Hunger is growing. We want to join in with the sense of hearts being stirred for the 'more of God' - for the Holy Spirit to move in our hearts, our homes, our churches and our land. So, we are calling Trinity to FAST and PRAY for 21 days at the start of this New Year. See below for how to join in.

  • God created us to love and He wants to share His love through relationship with us - which we are invited to when we choose to follow Him. It is through prayer that we grow closer with Him, learn who He is and understand more about who we have been created to be.

  • There are many different ways to pray. The key is to find a way to be in communication with our Father God. Check out our resources below!

  • Fasting acts like a turbo-booster to our prayers. We see it over and over in the scriptures. Jesus clearly expected his followers to fast as a regular practice!

Put differently, fasting is like expressing your longing for God - and for his power to act in a particular way - and then clicking BOLD, UNDERLINE, ITALICS and some !!!!!'s at the end.

Christian fasting is not mainly about what we go without; it's about who we want more of.

  • There are many different ways to fast from some of our normal daily habits. We create a physical hunger in order to excite a spiritual hunger. We do less of one thing, to create space for ‘more of God’. Biblically, fasting primarily involves abstaining from food to varying degrees and for varying periods - but that will not be appropriate for everyone. Check out our page on fasting for more information and helpful resources.

Fasting is a temporary renunciation of something that is in itself good, like food, in order to intensify our expression of need for something greater — namely, God and His work in our lives.
— John Piper

How can I join in?

  • One of the pillars of our 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer will be Kingdom Come. We will meet every Wednesday evening between 7th - 28th January to set aside time together as a church, growing our heart for prayer and pursuing God’s presence. Hosted by Trinity and St Paul’s these evenings will be full of worship, prayer, intercession and prophetic encounter as we cry out together for God’s Kingdom Come in our churches, our town and beyond!

    More information available soon*

  • We have started small with the Prayer room currently only open at specific times; but our vision is to grow into a space that can help fuel and host a constant hunger and passion for prayer throughout the week.

The Prayer Room is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6am – 8am. You do not have to book and we welcome everyone in the church family to join us.

You can find out more here.

Have you got a testimony/story of God’s goodness as we journey through these 21 days?

Do you have a particular encouragement for us as a church that you feel the Lord has given you for us? Perhaps a word, picture or verse?
